Woman writing in a warm home office
About Her Next Chapter

I'm not starting over. I'm starting from experience.

A blog for women in their 40s and beyond who are done shrinking — and ready to step boldly into what comes next.

Her Next Chapter author

How This Blog Started

I was 43 when I realized I had spent the last two decades being everything for everyone — and almost nothing for myself. I was a good wife, a devoted mother, a reliable employee. I was also exhausted, invisible, and quietly terrified that the best years of my life were behind me.

Then perimenopause hit. The brain fog, the sleepless nights, the emotions I couldn't explain. I went looking for honest information and found mostly clinical pamphlets and dismissive advice. What I needed was a real woman telling me the truth.

So I became that woman. I started writing. About hormones and hot flashes, yes — but also about solo travel, real estate investing, career reinvention, and what it actually feels like to raise teenagers while rediscovering yourself. Her Next Chapter is the blog I wish had existed when I needed it most.

This Blog Is For You If...

1

You're in your 40s or 50s and feel like you're becoming someone new — and you're not sure if that's terrifying or exciting (spoiler: it's both).

2

You want real information about perimenopause from someone who's been through it, not a clinical pamphlet.

3

You're thinking about a career change, a solo trip, a real estate investment, or any other thing people keep telling you is too late for.

4

You want to feel less alone in this chapter — and more excited about what's coming next.
